Simply put, you send us an email containing your text message and the recipient's mobile number and our Email Gateway will automatically convert it to SMS and send it to the recipient's mobile phone.

Auto Forwarding Instructions

All inbound SMS messages can be automatically forwarded to specific users based on criteria relating to the message properties. For example messages containing a certain string of text or from a certain mobile number can be forwarded to a nominated user or stored in a particular folder.

Auto-forwarding instructions can easily be uploaded from a spreadsheet file.

Intelligent routing will automatically route a received message to the user who last sent a text to the sender. This promotes 2-way texting and allows multiple users to share a single mobile number.

Auto Responding Instructions

Each SMS message received can send an auto-response to the sender. The message sent back can depend on criteria based on the received messages properties.

This feature can be used in many scenarios including SMS competitions and information retrieval services.

Auto-responding instructions can easily be uploaded from a spreadsheet file.

Use of auto-response with multiple instructions
Below is an example of 2 instructions used in a competition where texters were asked 'Who won the 2004 Ryder Cup competition?'

RouteCode Message ContentString ContentAtStart
087xxxxxx Well done, your answer is correct europe 1
087xxxxxx Sorry, your answer is incorrect

The system will look for every text message received on 087xxxxxx. If the text begins with 'europe' then the message 'well done...' is automatically sent back. If the text does not begin with 'europe' then the 'Sorry...' message is sent back. The system will always look for instructions with ContentStrings before looking for one without.

You could add another instruction to the examples above:

RouteCode Message ContentString ContentAtStart
087xxxxxx Close, but no cigar Amercia 1

Please note the system will only ever send back 1 response even if multiple instructions meet the criteria.
