Frequently Asked Questions

 

What do I need to be able to send and receive SMS text messages?

The bare minimum requirement is Internet access with a valid email address. Recommended is to download our Message Centre software (free) for Windows that can be used to configure your account and be used to send and receive text messages. Alternatively contact iflow and we can configure your account on your behalf.

 

Do I need to keep my PC on to receive SMS messages?

No. All messages are received on to iflow's servers. You can access your messages whenever you switch on your PC and connect to the Internet.

 

How do I know when I receive a text message?

There are 2 ways you can be notified of a new SMS text message

1. Your Message Centre software can popup a discreet box with the text information

2. You can be automatically sent an e-mail

 

What do I need to be able to send and receive Faxes?

As soon as you register your fax number will be active and any faxes received will be stored in your inbox. To access your inbox you can either log on to our web service or install our free Message Centre software on to your Windows PC.

To send faxes you will need a Windows PC with Internet access. Install our free Message Centre software on your PC.

 

Can I keep my existing fax number?

It is possible to keep your existing fax number. Simply register with iflow and be assigned a new fax number. You can then contact your telecom supplier and request your existing fax number to be ported to your new iflow fax number. The charges for porting and routing calls are determined by your telecom supplier.

 

Do I need to keep my PC on to receive faxes?

No. All faxes are received on to iflow's servers. You can access your faxes whenever you switch on your PC and connect to the Internet.

 

How do I know when I receive a fax?

There are 3 ways you can be notified of a new fax

1. Your Message Centre software can popup a discreet box with the fax information

2. You can be automatically sent an e-mail

3. You can be automatically sent an SMS message to your mobile phone

 

Do I need credit card details to subscribe to the Personal (free) subscription?

No, you will not need to enter your credit card details when subscribing. However you will be unable to send any text messages until you buy credit. Credit can be purchased using your credit/debit card online or by cheque.

 

What if I choose the wrong service level?

You can easily change the service level at any time. Once registered you can logon to your account and alter your billing details.

 

Do I need to sign a contract / Am I locked in?

No. Your account can be cancelled at anytime. To register you must agree and adhere to our Terms and Conditions.
