Points to consider before

sending your fax broadcast

Fax broadcasting remains one of the fastest, most direct and cost effective means of direct marketing. Many companies use iflow's fax broadcast system to boost sales and revenue.

 

We have found that those who prepare and manage their campaigns get the best results. So below are 3 areas for you to consider when planning your campaign.

 

1. The Fax Document

Clarity
Don't use too much text. Creative use of white space makes any document easier to read. Make it crystal clear what your offering. In a busy office which of the following 2 documents do you think will be read?

Contact Details
Be clear about who the fax is from - include your contact details and, if applicable, your logo.
Call To Action
Make it clear what you want the reader to do - call you, email you, visit your web site etc.
Opt Out
Include an opt-out statement that allows the recipient to be removed from your contact list. (more on this below)
Colour
A nice colourful document on your screen may not translate well to a black and white fax machine.

 

2. The Contact List

Your own Data
By law any direct marketing fax list needs to be cleaned monthly against the NDD in Ireland and the FPS in the UK. You are protected when you use iflow.

 

Ensure fax numbers start with at least an area code and for international numbers a fully qualified international dialing code.

iflow 3rd Party Data
You can make data selections from iflow's 3rd party databases by choosing location, industry types and company sizes. All data is legally compliant.

 

3. Managing Opt-Outs

Opt outs
No matter how compliant or "clean" a contact list is you will more that likely receive a request from a recipient to be removed from your contact list.

 

In this case note their company name and fax number. You can add the fax number to your Stop List which prevents this company receiving any future faxes from your campaigns.
